The Iron Duke by L Ron Hubbard

L. Ron Hubbard The Iron Duke
I'm sad, this is my last L.Ron Hubbard book on cd to review.  I have really enjoyed listening to these tremendous books.

These books are fully recreated stories with all the sound effects and the multi-cast reading.  These cd's are truly like listening to a Broadway play.

The Iron Duke may be my favorite yet.  This story has everything!! Blacky Lee is man's man (ahhh ladies man too!).  There is a whiny little side kick named Stubs. The story is a love story. A story with lots of adventure and intrigue. Suspense and humor. I picture Blacky Lee with the good looks of Gerard Butler. He's a con man.  He's a ladies man. He only has his own best interests at heart.  Or does he??

American arms merchant Blacky Lee is wanted by nearly every government in 1930s Europe—especially the Nazis. They want Blacky's head for selling them dud weapons, prompting his rapid (and illegal) escape across the Balkans to the kingdom of Aldoria with his business partner in tow.Aldoria is well chosen. Years before, Blacky discovered he was the spitting image of the country's Prince Philip, learned the archduke's speaking voice and memorized the royal family tree just in case. When Blacky brazenly impersonates the leader, things go surprisingly well . . . that is, until he finds himself caught in the middle of a Communist plot to rig elections and take over.

With Father's Day coming up these stories on CD would be a great gift for any Dad!!  With hundreds of titles to choose from you can pick what ever topic Dad enjoys.  Sea Adventures? Air? Tales from the Orient? Far Flung? Mystery? Science Fiction? Fantasy? Western?  L. Ron Hubbard has written all of it!!

I've really enjoyed listening to these books.  I give them all 2 very enthusiastic thumbs way UP!! Thank you Galaxy Press, Stories of the Golden Age.

Disclosure I received complimentary products for the purpose of my review. No other compensation was provided. The opinions are mine and 100% honest. I have not been influenced in any way.
