Tropical Traditions Coconut Oil Review & G!veAway!!

When my girls were younger they use to tell me everything!  Now?  Now, I found out they tell me nothing!!!  NOTHING!!  Case in point.................
I was so excited about being able to review Tropical Traditions Virgin Coconut Oil and excitedly had to share the news with my daughters to which they both looked at me like I was from another planet!!  Both girls started telling me all about the things they use Tropical Traditions Virgin Coconut oil for.  BOTH of them have been holding out on me with this great product!!

Things I learned from my girls...... cookies, brownies taste better with coconut oil. My daughter Lael's homemade body scrub (that is to die for!) yup you guessed it!! She used only Tropical Traditions.  My oldest daughter recently had a baby and was touting all the benefits for pregnant women.  Even if you aren't pregnant the health benefits alone for coconut oil is HUGE!!!  Why have I never heard of this?!?  I feel like I've been living in a cave!!

Did you know coconut oils have the highest amounts of antioxidants??  Well, don't worry my girls didn't tell me either!!  Tropical Traditions Virgin Coconut oil has double the amount of antioxidants than the other coconut oils!!

So I went home and went to work on using my first jar of coconut oil.  We've made fried chicken, brownies, Breakfast in a cup (minus the spinach, I can't ... nope.... just ... banana, strawberry and spinach? NO! nope... not gonna do it!!) Without the spinach it was delicious!!!!!!!!  We've been using our Tropical Traditions Virgin Coconut Oil in anything and everything that you need oil or shortening for.  I love it!!  I can't believe that I've never used this before!

NOW not only did I use the coconut oil to cook with I used it on my ridiculously dry heels.  WOOOOOHOOOOOO I am amazed!!  Better than any product I've bought specifically for my feet!! This page will show even more uses!!

I've been looking for other recipes to use Tropical Traditions Coconut oil for and found some people put it in their coffee. I'll try that tomorrow morning....... not to sure about that one, but I'll give it a shot.
People use it as a face cream. (remember daughter number 2 uses it to make her body scrubs! Which again... are amazing!!)

A few other things that I learned about Coconut oil:
The benefits of coconut oil are mainly from the nutrient value of medium chain fatty acids (MCFAs). The best comparison in nature as to the percentage of MCFAs being consumed in a diet is human breast milk. To equal the amount of MCFAs a nursing infant would receive in one day, an adult would need to consume about 3.5 tablespoons of coconut oil a day according to researchers. Since coconut oil in nature is packaged inside the coconut meat, it is recommended to consume this amount throughout the day with food high in fiber and protein. However, for those not used to coconut oil in their diet, it is best to start out with an amount far less than this first, to see how your body reacts.

Here is a really interesting video explaining how Tropical Traditions Virgin Coconut Oil is made:

Now for the best part!!!  The amazing people over at Tropical Traditions are giving Peanut Butter and Whine readers the chance to find out for themselves the awesome benefits of coconut oil!!   BUT! If you can't wait till then here is a direct line to purchase Tropical Traditions Coconut Oil on line.
Good luck!!
